My wife didn't want to slog the bog so she stayed in the car. After dodging all the sheep droppings and finding the cave I wisely decided to not make the ascent. it does take some effort to get to the cave but when you are in it is really beautiful, ask the locals about the stories about the cave

Wasn't sure whether to bother with this after reading a review about needing to be a 'seasoned climber' and tramping across boggy fields etc etc. But... with a 16 yr old son I thought he would like it and I was right. If you are doing route 1 to Seljandfoss (sorry for spelling) and Skoga and you have young adventurers... More

The whole family was excited to be visiting a real outlaws' hideout as that's the information provided by guidebooks, however it turned out to be hugely disappointing.
