We stayed for 3 hours and it was really good idea, the water is smelly but you will get used to it. Definitely one of the highlights of the day.

Went late March on a Monday night - the baths closed at 10pm (but they usher people out at 945pm). Cost is 3800ISK. Good facilities, shower first before getting into the baths. Weather was -6 degree celsius so teeth chattering getting in and out but once in, it was very comfortable. Yes, there is a sulphur smell but it is... More

Second time in Iceland - this time Winter. Decided to go North....worth it. In the area of Myvatn is Jardbodin Nature baths.......relaxing - even in below freezing weather - which changed rapidly from Sunny to cloudy to Hailing (really a wonderful experience when sitting in water). Better than the overcrowded, overpriced, overdeveloped Blue Lagoon.

We visited the baths on our trip around the ring road, having spent the morning hiking around and exploring Hverarond the baths were an excellent and relaxing experience. My friend and I arrived right as the baths opened (right at noon in the winter), and every staff member we encountered was very friendly and the locker rooms were clean, if... More

If it is possible to travel to the north, skip the Blue Lagoon in Reykjavik and stop at Myvatn. It is far less crowded and is more aesthetically pleasing due to its location.

We travelled here as part of a tour. Not sure if we would have done this off our own backs but so pleased we did. Take your own towel although they can be hired and flip flops would have been a good idea to get from changing room to the baths. It was just under freezing the day we visited... More

It was such a unique experience, but it was soooo coooold and windy, that even in the water, we were cold! Our heads were freezing out of it and our hairs and lashes were getting frosty. Still! If you are in the area, you HAVE to go! Even with nasty weather! It is such an experience, you can't miss out!

Love this nature bath, a lot less tourist, friendly atmosphere. We went there when the weather was around zero and sub zero so it's such a great experience soaking in the warm bath. You can use the steam room too then back to the bath as many times as you want.

I went to this place after I went to the blue lagoon and in my opinion this is better then the blue lagoon! more relaxed fewer tourists , you get more value then in blue lagoon and service is good! I recomend this to all if you are on your way to the North East region of iceland!
