We saw the statue from the back deck of our b and b. It sure is beautiful. We hope to see it up close next year when we come back to see the passion play.

You can't really understand how huge this statue is until you're standing next to it. The snow is gently falling as I'm taking this picture and it just feels so magestic!!! It's definitely worth the drive to see it!!

A truly beautiful statue depicting Christ with open arms! You really should walk all the way down to it and look up! Breathtaking!

So beautiful, it humbles you. There is a little area that looked kind of like a gazeba, the view was breathtaking.

Now this is really worth seeing. A great place for picture taking it reminded me of "Lookout Mountain" Something the whole family should tour.

This was pretty cool to see. The Giant Jesus statue. We wanted to see the Passion Play, but it was out of season. From different areas around Eureka you can see the statue.

Down the hill from the statue itself is an overlook where the music heard on approach is no longer audible, providing a quiet, peaceful place to sit and reflect. Several benches are available, and the view is amazing.

No. Just drive past the entrance to the play and the gift shop. Park and walk up to the statue.

There is no charge. I'd visit their website for times, but I thought it didn't close. Since you're a large group, if you want to get parking fairly close, you can keep going up the drive past the buildings. There's a... More
