It's a great place to cool off, great place to swim and relax. If you have a boat, bring it and enjoy yourself.

This is an absolutely beautiful lake with designated swimming areas. As long as people stay within the swimming areas they will be fine, but otherwise they need to be very careful.

I have only stayed at The Cabins on Sugar Mountain. There are cabins of different sizes there, and ifbyou book now, you could probably get enough cabins to accommodate your family. It’s about 5 miles to Beaver Lake Dam Site.

The campsites I have seen are right on the lake and operated by the Corps of Engineers. I have no experience with the campsites.

Oh, and we purchased it directly from an Army Corps of Engineers park ranger. That's the issuing agency. Hope this helps.
