I have such mixed feelings from this cathedral. There is a place for children to play inside of the cathedral, which is very nice. At the same time, there is a big "Silence!" sign right at the entrance of the church, and also at some other places, making the church looking almost sterile and very cold for people entering the building. I had a feeling that people are there for the building, not that the building is there for the people, not making me very relaxed and just wanting me to leave.
In any case, this is a monument of the town. Not the nicest building, architecturally speaking. But it stands out on the hill and you can't miss it almost on any of your pictures.

This church is in a nice small town. It’s called old but has burnt down a lot of times. Including recently. So it’s a rebuild. It’s nice enough but not really worth going out of the way for.

What a beautiful cathedral. It's a bit of a hike up to the church, but worth it! The inside is just as beautiful as the outside. You don't want to miss this is you visit Porvoo.

Porvoo is also the center of the Swedish-speaking diocese from 1920s years. It has a very important role in the history of the independent Finland: Tsar Alexander I of Russia took an oath to uphold the constitution in this church. It’s very popular wedding venue, Mika Häkkinen’s wedding ceremony was held here, too. We saw this cathedral, but couldn’t go into, because of a wedding. But we walked around it. It’s rustic and beautiful! Next to the cathedral is a bell tower and a wooden church from 1740.

This is a small but attractive cathedral. As a Lutheran cathedral, the adornments are quite simple with the exception of a wonderful pulpit with colored carvings. Also of note is the unicorn theme - representing the purity of Christ. Unicorns are not usually seen in churches. Finally, there is a bronze statue of Czar Alexander I - another unusual addition. The pews are comfortable and invite a prayer. Just a note, the last block approaching the cathedral is a quite a slope. Those with mobility issues might want to admire from afar.

Interesting church with different architecture than you normally see. If you are in town, this is one of the few things interesting to do.

Unfortunately we were unable to go into the Cathedral but it's very nice to look at, quite different to many I've seen in Europe.

It's set in a lovely part of Porvoo with nice views of the area.

We visited the Cathedral of Porvoo to admire the architecture, of which our tour guide told us about outside. The Cathedral itself was impressive but quite small, and you can’t really walk around nor visit the altar for example. The Covid-19 situation was well taken into consideration by offering hand sanitizer and reminding to keep a safe distance from others.

Lovely church that is more middle ages Anglo Saxon than typical finnish countryside church. We were lucky enough that the massive historical organ was being played as we visited... quite magical.

Old cathedral that has been rebuilt after a catastrofical fire some years ago. Now very well redone and nice. Everybody visiting our town should see this!!!
