Our guide, Yendry, was excellent at spotting birds and describing the history of area. We were there during dry season and did not have any problems with mosquitos. The walking is very easy.

Andres was my guide and he was perfect. He showed me a lot of birds I could not notice on my own. I had a great morning birding in Los Cusingos!

Los Cusingos is famous as the home of Alexander Skutch , considered the father of ornithology and birding in Costa Rica, so as a pilgrimage to see his house and the grounds he protected it is a great trip, but get there early and get...More

We also stayed at Hacienda Alta Gracia. I can't recommend it highly enough. It is well worth the expense, especially if you're celebrating a birthday. We visited Los Cusingos on a tour from the Hacienda, and were lucky... More
