Cosmic Cavern was discovered in 1845, but wasn'€™t developed until 1927. The cave features a 9 foot soda straw the longest known in the Ozarks, and two bottomless lakes. One of the lakes was discovered in 1993 in the "Silent Splendor" section which made national news. This was Arkansas’ most delicate discovery. Make sure to bring your camera! Gift Shop, Snacks, Picnic area and camping available.

Loved It!

The cave isn't large so it may not be good for everyone but our guide was great and the cavern is really cool. We saw bats, an underground lake, and some very unusual formations.

Our tour guide was really insightful. The tour lasted about 90 minutes and we were able to see several cavern rooms and wildlife. In the future we would like to return for a less scripted, more adventurous Wild Tour. We had fun mining for gems before the tour.

Very interesting! Be aware: there are some tight places to walk through. Guide was super friendly and knowledgable.

This cave is not for large people or the elderly. Lots of steep narrow steps. Actual tour is only about 45 minutes, and a lot of that is the guide taking pictures of the guests for them. Was very disappointed for the price

We really enjoyed our tour of Cosmic Cavern. The tour guide was great and the cave was beautiful! Be aware that there are quite a few stairs, some quite steep, narrow and wet so, if you have a problem with stairs, this probably is not the place for you. However, if you don't have a problem with stairs, it is... More

The guided tour is about an hour long, very informative & the cave is beautiful! The collection of stalagmites & stalactites in the cave is HUGE! There are a couple of places you can touch the rocks and they are currently working on opening a new section of the cave to add to the tour. We took our 18 &... More

I visited the Cosmic Cavern with my 3 teenagers and 11 year old. We loved the cave tour! Our guide was great and we learned so much! The cave is breathtaking! Lots of great picture opportunities! Also great activity for a cold or rainy day as the cave is always 64 degrees. Expect a great deal of steps, for us... More

Tours are reasonably priced and fun for kids and adults. Not the biggest or best cavern you'll ever see. But it's a great way to spend a couple hours as part of a day trip from Brandon.

This tour was awesome. It was very informative. We had a blast. You are literally going inside a cave. So if your not interested in getting wet, muddy, or exercising your legs you probably shouldn't do it. The steps used can be steep at times, but your not constantly walking up/down them so it's really not that big of a... More

The lady giving the tour was really nice and the tour probably took about an hour. She did a lot of talking but we had 7 & 8 year kids with our group and they stayed interested the whole time. I actually learned some things from her despite my best efforts. The cave was cool to see. We didn't go... More
