I am not much of an art lover but this museum sort of converted me. Wonderfully designed with a wonderful display of art. You must visit even if art is not your passion.

The Davis exhibit is one of the best I've seen. Lots of paintings intelligently selected, informative wall commentary, outstanding film and even a nice jazz sound track. I've enjoyed the Davis pictures I've seen here and there but seeing a comprehensive selection all together, thoughtfully...More

This is one of America's finest art museums. Plan on a long day and have lunch or dinner. You will be pleasantly pleased with the art collection. from the early 1600's to modern day art. Been at least 4 times in the last 3 years.

You do not have to purchase tickets in advance but it helps if there is a line. If I remember correctly, the price was 20 dollars and some change.

You do not need advance tickets. They are available daily. The indoor exhibit has already left, but his out door collection is still in place.
