We just stumbled into the museum. We thought this was a hotel. We ended up spending 90 minutes with the exhibition. Top living artist spanning the full globe are highlighted and included. The displays are beautiful while at the same time being thought provoking and evocative.
This is a MUST visit while in Bentonville.

Excellent pieces of art were displayed throughout the public areas in the hotel lobby. The exhibit we saw had a fascinating & timely theme: refugees. Easy parking in the garage behind the hotel. No one seemed to mind that we just wandered in and enjoyed the galleries even though we weren’t guests at the hotel. Top notch & a hidden gem for art lovers!

We didn't stay here but we strolled around and enjoyed the art installations. They have many items that are quite fascinating, an interesting film and a great car covered in pennies and nickels out front. It is certainly worth a visit.

When I stayed at 21c, I knew there would be art but wasn't expecting the quality. The exhibit focused on experiences of refugees around the globe. Artworks by major artists, including a video installation. I learned a lot and found some of the art quite moving. This local museum really fits in with Crystal Bridges and the Momentary, as part of the overall cultural experience available in Bentonville.

Enjoyed our visit to the 21c Museum. The hotel is very urban with contemporary furnishings. Art throughout the hotel is modern and fun to see. The penguins placed throughout the museum make the visit fun and unique.

Great location across from the downtown square and walking distance to great restaurants. Property was a bit above average for comfort and furnishings but food and bar offerings were average at best and overpriced. COVID security was very good but employees were primarily rude, unconcerned and certainly made no effort to assures guests were welcome or appreciated. Staff was mostly young with obviously no dress code to complement the quality of the facility

While I appreciate artistic expression, the theme and some images could be disturbing to children (and many adults). An eagle dismembering a human, a depressing video that reminded me of a Haight-Ashberry scene from the 1960's---just left us with a weird taste. Fortunately, my granddaughters were too young to connect the symbols, but several children in the 5 to 10 year old range were there to view the cute green penguins amidst the gruesome scenes. It left us adults (in our 60's and 20's) with an acrid taste--a sad ending to an otherwise fun day.

It's interesting that you can walk among all the exhibits and get very close and personal with the very diverse style of artwork. Very fun pieces!

Great rooms and service. Art displays on lobby floor is an added bonus to a comfortable hotel. Walk to the city main square and enjoy this wonderful diverse small town.

There are a few interesting pieces scattered throughout but, overall, I do not see why they even call it a museum.

I went to the website and saw that there is a Chihuly exhibition at the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. How far from the hotel to the museum?
Written 30 May 2017
There is a trail that begins adjacent to the 21c that will take you down a small hill and right to an entrance to the museum. It takes between 5-10 minutes at best.
I hope to go back for the Chilhuly exhibit. One part is in the museum and another part in the woods. I heard the part in the woods is for a limited time so be sure to check dates if you are interested in both!
Hope this helps. Karen
