The Museum of Native American History is a treasure trove of artifacts dating back to early man. I especially liked the soundbites linked to the exhibits, it's a true educational experience that folks of all ages can enjoy. Plan to spend some time here delving into Native American culture, so often misunderstood. Admission is FREE.

We stopped at this museum on a recent trip to Crystal Bridges. The museum is very well done with an audio self guide. Very clean. The displays are very well done.

Artifacts and information we have not encountered in any other place including the American southwest, Canada, Alaska, northwest US. Nothing in Texas can compare to the artifacts in this collection even though many items were found in Texas. We spent far more time than we had planned. A must see for anyone remotely interested in Native American history.

Very interesting visit. Love all the works of art and crafts of the Native American people. Amazing at some of the places the artifacts were found. The museum is free so no excuse for not stopping. Cute items in the gift shop as well. Staff is very friendly.

I really enjoyed this museum. There were many things to see and much information which I had not known before. There were numerous arrowheads (points), pottery items dating back centuries, early weapons and hunting implements, Indian garments and headdresses and other exhibits of native American life and lifestyles through the centuries. I like the way much of the museum is... More

Located at the edge of a nice residential area, this might be mistaken for a church ... except for the buffalo statue and a teepee outside. Admission is free and the collection and educational elements (3 videos and audio wands describing parts of the collection) are surprisingly well done. Numerous aspects of native peoples (and artifacts —thousands of arrowheads) are... More

The artifacts include North and South American. They are all beautifully preserved and displayed. There is a self guided tour with one of those audio wands. The amount of information available is staggering, so just listen to the info on the things you are most interested in. I never knew there were so many different kinds of arrowheads!
