When Sam Walton opened his 5&10 on the Bentonville town square in 1950, he had no idea he'd planted the seeds for what would become the global leader in retail, saving millions of people money so they could live better. Today, that humble little dime store is the location of The Walmart Museum. A family-friendly experience in 3 parts, the Museum features a world-class exhibit gallery, Walton's 5&10, and The Spark Cafe. Monday - Thursday: 8:00 a.M. - 9:00 P.M. Friday - Saturday: 8:00a.M. - 10:00P.M. Sunday: 12:00 p.M. - 9:00 P.M.

Yes, Walmart was not always the big corporate giant it is today. This small museum will help you to see the humble beginnings of Walmart and learn a few things about its founder, Sam Walton.

It's not often you get free admission to anything these days and this Museum is definitely worth your time. You could probably spend 15 minutes or over an hour here and learn so much. Sam Walton was a genius and the story of his empire...More

This little museum does an excellent job in capturing and telling the story of the rise of Sam Walton and Wal-Mart. The ice cream shop at the end of tour tour was a nice touch. Stop in for about an hour - it's free!

It nice to stop in then grab an ice cream at the Sparkn cafe. Museum takes less than an hour! If pressed for time can still do a quick walk through! If in Bentonville, should go check it out.

If you need to know about Sam Walton and the growth of Walmart, this is the place for you. Had many photos of the beginning and by decade.

A trip to Bentonville wouldn't be complete without visiting here. Gives a good overview of the Walmart empire that Sam Walton started. Some interesting artifacts and a bonus is no admission charge.

Hi Nancy C! We do not offer any bus shuttles. However, Bentonville does offer plenty of free parking around the square. There are a few parking lots, versus street parking, where a camper would fit.
