Hassayampa River Preserve has short hiking trails and is great for bird watching. We also saw a kingsnake on our walk. There are plenty of benches to take in the riparian area. If you hike to the top of Lykes lookout you won't be disappointed!...More

This is a nice spot to wander through especially on a hot day. Paths are meandering through the area with birds if you take your time. There are a number of feeders by the visitor center that had a lot of birds feeding. Information at...More

I love visiting the preserve. Nice peaceful spot for seeing our local flora and fauna, especially birds. Several trails give one the opportunity to stroll through nature. A well done museum and botanical garden awaits as well. Don't miss it!

Great birding and pleasant hiking trails. When it starts getting hot in the Valley of the Sun, this is a great place to cool off a little.

Beautiful and serene and awesome birds! We had a wonderful guided tour. The guide was top notch. You must see this beautiful preserve. Do not go to Wickenburg without stopping here first. We loved it.

I volunteer here as well as coming here to go for little hikes and for birdwatching. Hassayampa means upside down so Hassayampa River is an upside down river. It flows underground most of the time, but at the preserve it flows above ground. There is...More

Absolutely beautiful green after all of the rain. Interesting to see the path the river had taken. We enjoyed speaking with the historian. Lots of hands--on artifacts the kids will enjoy.

Main house (entry) is a well done museum of what the property used to be and what you can expect to see on the trails. Entrance fee is very reasonable. The Preserve is quiet and offers a variety of flora and fauna. Some trails, sand,...More
