So many beautiful views and natural beauty. Lots of camping, hiking and a great desert experience. Not too far from Glendale and Peoria, it's a natural treat.

Beautiful desert vistas. Fine for walking/hiking, but if you want to just enjoy the beauty, go to the White Tank Mountain Library. Excellent programs, good meeting room, activities for all ages, nice gift shop and Friends of the Library used book sales. But the big...More

On the edge of the Valley of the Sun (phoenix metro area and environs) is a great natural and undeveloped park-- a road and relatively small and very basic camp areas. Pure nature, minimal enhancements As a result be aware and plan ahead if staying

A pretty cool place for having a party! Ramadas are available. Lots of open space for kids to run around. There are hiking trails, but be sure to bring lots of water and pay attention to where you're going. Entrance fee is $6 per car.

The only thing we saw was a couple lizards. However, that wildlife exists but are more afraid of us typically, especially if they hear you.
