Keepers of the Wild is home to over 150 exotic and wild animals that were rescued from lives of neglect or abuse including a grizzly bear, tigers, leopards, cougars, monkeys, birds, reptiles, wallabies, hoof stock, and a variety of indigenous wildlife. Animals placed at Keepers of the Wild can depend on a safe and life-long home. Our scenic nature park is nestled on 175 acres in Valentine, AZ on Historic Route 66. Whether you opt to walk the park or take a guided safari tour, all visitors will experience an up-close look at animals in their spacious natural habitats. Keepers of the Wild is very popular with residents, visitors and tourists and is ideal for school field trips for children and family outings. We did the self guided tour, looking forward to doing the guided tour on our next visit. Call ahead to verify times for the guided tours to be sure you arrive in time. Definitely a highlight of our visit on Route 66.

Beautifully kept land with scattered wild animals housed in their own fenced environments. Trails were easy to follow with shaded areas to relax. Signage with details for each species. Up close and personal experience never to be forgotten.

Check in is very quick, so 15 minutes before tour time would be fine.

Hello Wanda, None of our animals are loose. We provide large spacious natural habitats for the animals. Each habitat is completely fenced to ensure the safety of the animals and the public.

I was able to get two adult tickets for $24.00 on Groupon. The tram tour was an additional $10.00 (well worth it). I would suggest checking out their web site for pricing and tour times.
