I was expecting a bit more of a visitor center experience. This is nothing more than IMAX movie theater and a gift shop. Don't waste your time if you're not interested in either of those things.

We stopped in here on our way to the Grand Canyon thinking to pick up some information and check on the IMAX movie. The staff could not be bothered to provide much more info than to check with the front desk (or to even point out where the front desk was- turns out we came in the back door). Left... More

This visitor center has many things: a very good gift shop with some educational books and videos, toys, souvenirs but also back packs, active wear and warm clothing. It is NOT the official Grand Canyon Visitor Center. There is a place to buy your park entrance from a machine there and a desk to sign up for pink jeep tours,... More

We did not have time to actually see the imax movie. I am only rating the store. I was disappointed in the store, mainly because I expected to see many of the items I see in their catalog. Love product in the catalog and have made a few purchases. This store was more like a local tourist store. Nothing exceptional... More

The IMAX movie was awesome! Look away if you get sea sick. It inspired us to really take in the canyon and the history. This was our first time at the Grand Canyon, so it was a great introduction.

We watched the Imax movie of the Grand Canyon and it talked about the history of the people that used to live there.

Odds are you are not going down to the canyon floor. The video combines the history of the Canyon, and great soaring video of the river and walls. About 40 minutes and we had a coupon from our hotel that made the cost $20 for two adults. The historic recreations of Powell's voyage of discovery are impressive.

After trudging around in the snow on Christmas day at the Grand Canyon, we opted to stop in here on a whim. The film was older, but the cinematography was fantastic! A great perspective of the Grand Canyon and nice to see on a large screen. Two adults was approximately $25 - quite reasonable for a 40 minute film.

IMAX has a center just south of the south entrance to the Grand Canyon National Park. It is a recommended must for any one entering the Grand Canyon for the first time. It gives a realistic, and historic view of the canyon and show what a treat is in store for you. The wIt time is negligible, and worth it.... More
