First of all.....whale shark! The white tip reef shark, eel, schooling Jacks, were mice, but just jumping in and seeing a 18 foot whale shark was awesome. The food was really good, fresh salad and fried rice, guys were great Yam, Mike, and the crew were great with divers and snorkelers alike. My 3 and 6 year olds had a... More

My husband and I love diving and we heard the diving here was pretty great so we checked out the dive shop in Uvita. Willy greeted us and we chatted for a bit and we decided to sign up for a tour. Normally we bring all of our equipment but for this trip we decided to not haul it around... More

Doing a North and Pacific tour of Costa Rica we decided to end out trip with some beach time and diving. First of all, Dominical (and Uvita) are wonderful little towns to spend time in when lots of beautiful beaches. We found Costa Rica Dive and Surf based on other reviews and were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and... More

We took a boat to Cano island. There were about 20 people on a small boat, about half divers and half snorkelers. We had six in our group of the more experienced divers. The staff were professional and their English was good. We had cookies, watermelon and pineapple for a snack and a rice dish which I really liked, pasta... More

We booked a local snorkel trip that left out of Uvita. Our group of 4 were the only group on the boat, so we had two guides and a captain all to ourselves! Their names were Michael, David, & Dario, and they could not have been any better! They started out by giving us a local tour of the shoreline... More

Wife and I did the snorkel tour of Caño Island out of Uvita. The snorkeling was ok. Did two 40 minute swims. First one we saw plenty of fish and a turtle that dug up a sea cucumber and brought it to the surface 3' from us to eat. Very exciting. Second swim was cloudier and was just ok. Snorkeling... More

My husband and I took the Cano Island scuba trip. It's an all day excursion to remote Cano Island where we did two dives. They also take snorkelers. I'm a nervous scuba diver and they helped me greatly with equipment, Yan and his team were very patient and nice. We saw turtles, a couple rays, schools of jacks and Yan... More

Tours to Caño Island are expensive in general, so this is also not not an easily affordable tour. Although totally worth it. Boat in good conditions, perfect gear, brief and debrief perfect, boat crew experienced and amazing guides. Yan and Willy really knew how to explain things and make the best out of our experience. Caño itself is amazing, lots... More

My son just completed his Junior Open Water dive certification with Costa Rica Dive & Surf in Uvita. From the beginning until the end, it was a super experience. The staff was helpful, friendly and professional. We were blessed to get paired with James Horton, one of their dive instructors, who not only took great care of my son in... More
