We lived it and it’s very clean and reasonably priced. Great way to kill a few hours and stay cool if hot. It’s also inside a mall so plenty of places to eat after or before. Need about 2 hours. Bathrooms inside and are clean. Cool customizable souvenirs inside gift shop

This place is inside a mall, ok place for field trips, maybe if you have really good coupons. This is a for-profit aquarium, which I guess if you have never been to an aquarium, check this one out.
If you have, keep walking to the other side of the mall and check out the ginormous tanks at the RainForest Cafe, it's free and kids love all the interactive features.
I have a really hard time justifying the cost of this place. Not when you can go to Scripts aquarium for less than half the price of one ticket here... If you can't go to San Diego, drive up north a little bit more and check out Wild Life Zoo and aquarium... they have deals all the time (check groupon), and you get a zoo AND an aquarium for the same or less than Sea Life in Tempe.

We visited on a weekday at the end of April, and it was delightful to not have crowds of kids :) The best part is a glass tunnel where the fish swim all around you -- beautiful! There is an area where you can touch the sea creatures; the young woman working there was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. This place is actually in a mall -- who woulda thunk? :) I would not recommend it for very little children -- the ones who were there were running around, screaming and bored. School-age kids who are interested in animals, or Scout groups, for instance, would get a lot out of this. We four senior citizens enjoyed ourselves!

Thank you for your feedback, I am delighted that you enjoyed your visit. Our Ocean Tunnel really is wonderful and makes you feel like you’re at the bottom of the ocean; it’s a personal favorite of mine too. Please come and visit us again, we are always adding new things. Our website will keep you up to date on what we have happening throughout the year. Joanna Hobday General Manager

I am a captive animal skeptic (don't do zoos & boycott Sea World) and am a wild sea snorkeler, So I was hesitant to give $$ to a place like this but I was surprised how all the fish displays were created & fish beautifully displayed. Healthy, sustainable populations. The wilds are Rescues & rest bred in captivity. A must do for all who desire to spread the word to next genners to save our sea world!

The aquarium is pretty small and a bit pricey ($18/person) but well maintained. It took us about an hour and a half to make it through. There is a rainforest cafe in the same mall
that offers coupons for free admission for children and you can sometimes find other discount coupons online. If you have small children, ask for the scavenger hunt at the front desk. If you've been to Birch aquarium, it makes this place seem like nothing, but it's probably the best we have in phoenix. Animals include: jellyfish, lionfish, sharks, stingrays, seahorses, and sea turtles. There is a small touch pond where you can touch a starfish as well.

Sea Life AZ is a good indoor place to take kids on a hot day in AZ. My daughter's favorite part was the playground at the end. As far as aquariums go, I felt like it could have been better. Especially for how much money it costs.

The little ones had a great time seeing the sea creatures. The staff was very friendly and taught the boys about the animals. There were neat areas where they could put their head in a plastic dome so its like they're in the water. The tunnel where you are surrounded by water was cool. Don't ruin the surprise for rhe kids before they get to the tunnel.

My family was coming into town for the Thanksgiving hiliday week. I online booked a total of 12 tickets to visit the aquarium on the chosen day, then just an hour after I booked, I found out that none of us would be available. I called to explain my situation only to be told that they had no way to issue refunds and I should email my request. I emailed within 2 hours after booking and my credit card was not even yet charged. After sending my email TWICE I finally received a reply that they could not issue a refund, but would reschedule. I then explained that none would be in town to reschedule, and I really needed a refund of my $100+ . I got no response, no other emails,NOTHING. When I booked online, I agreed that the booking is non-refundable and non-transferrable. I get that! However, I was hoping that their customer service would find a way to refund of even just cancel the online booking, since I called and emailed before mycredit card was even charged, CUSTOMER SERVICE VIA PHONE AND ONLINE IS HORRIBLE. Because of their lack of understanding and unwillingness to help me, I will NEVER visit this facility. Lesson learned.

One of the smallest aquariums I've been to but incredibly, it has a lot of Sea life exhibits. My wife and I enjoyed it but it would be even better for the kids as it is more suited for young children but still worth a trip for us older folks.
