The views from this spot is just breath taking. From high above the town of Sedona you have a splendid view in all directions of the beautiful RED ROCKS of SEDONA! This year they installed some fencing and a parking donation, which we gladly paid.

I had a very powerful reaction to this place. I felt my entire body buzzing. It was an excellent experience. Well worth the rugged hike to get to the top.

Great place to view Sedona and the red rocks. Will cost you $3 to park, but well worth it. You can also hike down the Sedona View trail--or simply park further down the road and climb up on the big rock for the view (you'll...More

This is one of those MUST VISIT spots in Sedona. Right off of 89A on your way up to the regional airport is the Mesa where tourists and locals alike gather to watch the sunset. It's quite a social event with people milling all around...More

You won't be alone, but you will see a fine sunset from the vista area near the top of Airport mesa. An amazing number of people leave once the sun clears the horizon - maybe unaware that the sky turns more and more interesting as...More

We loved this hike and were a bit surprised how long it took. About 3 hours for us. I have a bad ankle and feel like I can manage well, however some places are more uneven and loose dirt/rock. Definitely take 2 water bottles per...More

You can actually drive up and hike down ~ or park at the bottom and hike up. The Airport Mesa is actually a really good place to see the sunset, too. AND - the entire canyon is "sacred" and there are hundreds of trails in... More

The vortex parking lot is right by the vortex. You simply walk up a hill, about 100 ft high. Easy. The airport parking lot is about 1/4 mile up hill on the road from the vortex parking lot. There is a trail that leads down... More
