This is a great place to watch the sun set on some of the rocky formations to the North West. This place gets overcrowded though... so make sure to arrive at least a good 45 minutes before sunset is scheduled, otherwise you'll spend all your...More

Overcrowded and limited space. Limited parking, and even less space on the top of the mesa. Pay $3 and park at the top by the airport, and don't go to the little mesa. Same views. More space.

We enjoyed the food here after watching an incredible sunset at the overlook. Unique menu items and very flavorful. Drinks were too pricy though, really $15 for a margarita was NOT worth that!

This is the place to be at sunset for a beautiful view of Sedona. It is right next to the Sky Ranch Inn.

Went up here during the day and at sunset which was the best time. You have to pay for parking at the top of the hill, so either hike up or try to get a free spot halfway up the hill.

Lovely morning, noon, and night. Grand vistas of the surrounding red rocks. We even saw a hot-air balloon soaring over the cliffs the last time that we were there!

This stop was on our cd narrated Sedona tour. It overlooks Sedona and the surrounding area from high above. There is parking at the overview at a cost of $3.00 per car. We also went back to see the sunset and it was spectacular.

Spent $3 and parked at the top - great for taking photos overlooking downtown Sedona and the surrounding craggy, colorful mountains. Parking attendant suggest we take the short 1/2 mile walk down to the “vortex”. OK, so off we go. Trail well marked but very...More

This location is probably the premier place to get the best views and photos of Sedona. After driving through northern Arizona, I managed to get into town in the late afternoon. I checked into my hotel and then high-tailed it over to the mesa as...More

You can actually drive up and hike down ~ or park at the bottom and hike up. The Airport Mesa is actually a really good place to see the sunset, too. AND - the entire canyon is "sacred" and there are hundreds of trails in... More

The vortex parking lot is right by the vortex. You simply walk up a hill, about 100 ft high. Easy. The airport parking lot is about 1/4 mile up hill on the road from the vortex parking lot. There is a trail that leads down... More
