I had no idea there was so many. As I was on a spiritual retreat this blew my mind, not only about how amazing nature is, but about a million other aspects of what I was understanding about the universe and life. Incredible.

Local town zoning even limits the use and design of exterior lighting on the commercial buildings to reduce glare of exterior lighting in the area. Even the McDonalds golden arches are not lit very bright and it is a teal color not the usual Golden yellow to reduce glare at night. In fact driving the area at night it is... More

Sedona Star Gazing were absolute professionals. They stood by their promise of not taking groups out if they can't deliver an excellent experience. They had to cancel our planned night, but offered us a rescheduled date or a full refund. We choose to reschedule. Once there the two guides we attentive and patient. They answered all questions, shared their knowledge... More

We did this in November, a bit chilly, but very nice. The speaker was really good. Recommended. Must like astronomy though.

We (husband and I) had not done anything like this before but we're glad we did! Looking to do this again in other spots in the future. Signing up was super easy. We received quick confirmation and clear directions to the spot. Our guide was knowledgeable and passionate. The group is small (~10 people) which is nice because you're not... More

Star gazing away from town was beautiful! The guide was very informative, and almost shared TOO much information. The only downside was that the evening we went was FREEZING and it was quite hard to be outside for 1.5 hours. If you go in the winter be prepared for cold weather.

Viewing the stars in the night sky was a different experience from any planetarium I've visited. The sky became more familiar and I felt I became better acquainted with parts of known constellations. The guide was knowledgeable. I loved everything I saw. I would do this again in a heartbeat.

You will think you are lost as you drive out to the meeting spot, but keep going and look for the sign to the left - in the dark. The guides are all independent astronomy buffs and very knowledgeable. We happened to be there during the super harvest moon and that made it difficult to see some of the stars... More

Sedona has worked hard to maintain a dark sky environment, so bring a flashlight when you visit! Find any spot off the hwy areas on 179 and you will be AMAZED at the stars, satellites, meteors, and airplanes moving in the night skies. Who knows, even a UFO (!)
