Really fun hike up to the top in 55 degree weather. Nice mix of easy walking and some minimal climbing. Awesome views from the top. If you visit Sedona, ya just do this.

This was a challenging, but wonderful hike. The trail is well-marked and has natural hand and foot holds in the rock which makes the climb doable. Not a hike for kids (at least not to the top). There were several dogs, but they made me...More

We are fit and experienced hikers. This was a challenging hike but doable and fun. My boyfriend rates it as a 4 (because it was on the touristy side) and I would rate it a 4.5. The lookout at the end is definitely spectacular. It...More

It's one of the tougher climbs. Take plenty of water. But the views are breathtaking! Where hiking boots cause the rocks can be slippery. Enjoy!

Make sure you have good balance if you are going to try to climb Cathedral Rock. I don't want to overstate it and make it sound horrifically steep, but you should be aware this isn't a regular hiking trail. You are indeed going to be...More

The trek is steep and rocks are slick and slippery in places. Hiking poles do not help much on this hike. I would not take them. It is even a little difficult to climb Cathedral Rock with a good camera around your neck. When you...More

I think it took us no more than 3 hours to get to the top and back. We took our time, enjoyed the scenery and sat around at the top for a bit, before heading down. it's definitely worth it. Not overly strenuous at all
