Today was our first day hiking in Sedona and this was our first hike. Wow, was it breathtaking! The first short while it's relatively easy, but there will be a rock scramble to get up. Luckily it's not long and only moderate in difficulty. It's so worth to get to the very top, where you can see the rock surrounding... More

This was a great place to visit. The park has bathroom facilities as well as picnic tables. I think the fee was $10 a car. No map is provided so listen to the park attendants instructions when you come in. There were lots of people there taking family photos. We ended up walking through the creek to get to the... More

I did this several years ago and am just now posting. Go to Back o Beyond and follow the trail. Not for the faint of heart but worth the effort.

Exactly what we were looking for (strenuous, challenging, exerting, with fantastic views at the top)! Wow! This is one of those trails where the trail is loosely marked by either caged rock stacks or directional white paint on the rocks. Choose your route. The moderate to hard climb would have been pleasing enough, but then when you get to the... More

We had fun hiking up Cathedral Rock although we didn't make it to the top because it was too steep for our family to manage

Red rocks, Oak Creek, breath taking views. Wonderful saunter. Easy stroll that offers much more. Make certain to take side trip to Oak Creek, especially during warm weather months.

The views are spectacular but it is a hard climb and you need to be in decent shape to handle it. Be prepared to side on your bottom to get down in parts!

They say this area has an energy about it. It absolutely does. We had interference flying our drone here. It is truly a special place and a wonderful hike! We had our 12lb min pin, I dont recommend dogs as we were not able to make it more than 3/4ths way up before it became dangerous for us with the... More

Magnificent but easy hike allows people of all abilities to take in the splendor of Sedona. Our hike was on a chilly and mostly cloudy day hence few others were hiking. No matter, it was splendid. Parking accessible and trails well maintained. Shoes with traction such as gym shoes are adequate.

We visited Cathedral Rock which we found to be a great hike. It is not for everybody as you actually have to climb rock. A bit scary...I had to come down in some stretches, sliding on my bum. Great, great views!
