Awesome hike at sunset

We hiked the short version, a total of .7miles. Uphill pretty much the entire way, but overall not too strenuous-leads to spectacular views!

Ok so it's under a mile but there is a fair share of scrambling. Basically if you are decently fit you'll be fine. Saw someone with a babypack (nope), a couple carrying gallons of water by hand (nope), and and older couple with a walking cane (nope nope nope)...they all turned back. With that in mind, there were people of... More

We loved this hike - one of our favourites of the whole trip. Mostly it isn't too hard but there is a little climbing/scrambling towards the top but it is easily do-able and the views are worth it.

As with the other red rock formations in Sedona, Cathedral Rock is a sight to behold. We took a tour with a clairvoyant and the different energies in the rock formations were pointed out to us. It's a great experience to learn not just the geography but also the energy of the vortex in the area.

Well worth the steep (but short) climb to the summit. Wear sturdy non-slip shoes and lots of sunscreen!

We decided to hike to the trail end and beyond. Going on past the end of the trail gives new views that are worth the effort. The hike doesn't get harder past the "crack" just more of the same type of rock and trail. There is shade in a few spots up high, KEEP GOING! Highly recommended on your own,... More

Cathedral Rock was an amazing hike! It can get steep at times, but remains a moderate climb. The views at the top are stunning and there is even a "End of Trail" sign to let you know you have arrived. We saw several kids younger than our 11 year old make the climb, but I wouldn't bring a child younger... More

Cathedral rock was a great hike. It is good for families as there were various areas that you could stop and still get great views without it being too strenuous. It is more difficult to get to the top but pretty doable for the average person. Really nice views from the top. You could take side trails also from this... More

This is a must see when in Sedona! Beautiful views and the red rocks were amazing! Some parts of the hike were a little hard towards the top.
