I'm not sure why this particular pile of rocks gets special recognition, but the entire area is worth seeing.

Get there early to secure parking ($5 parking fee at kiosk). There is an overflow lot, but both were packed when we returned from out hike. Hiking trails for all levels. We started on the "Easy Breezy" trail and then started climbing the rock. New wonders abound along the trails - the trees, the flowers, the vistas....a wonderful adventure!

My partner and I did a hike around Cathedral and seriously it was pretty stunning I don't have a lot of particulars, so this is probably not going to be a helpful review only to say it is very worth trying to get to above where you can get this amazing mountain. The fight trail was called highline - we... More

We hiked cathedral rock with a 9 yo and my father 78yo. It is fantastic and you need to arrive early. Only thing is that it was challenging for my dad.

Wonderful place for a hike. Make sure to get there early, as parking fills up fast. We had to park at the Yavapai Vista parking site, which makes for a longer hike to Cathedral Rock. If you like to rock climb (scramble) this is the place for you. Also a Haven for mountain bikes from the Yavapai Vista parking lot.... More

Sedona has great hiking, mountain biking and horse back riding trails. You can do someplace different every day.

Very scenic and moderately strenuous hike up the rock, but get there early as the parking lot is not large.

This was our second visit to this place. The first trip was as tourists and this visit was to witness a wedding. The scenery is SO spectacular (especially if you're from Florida) Our granddaughter is planning a wedding, and we've spoken so highly of it as a venue, we may be back soon!

Overrun with spring breakers however. Hard taking pix of it's beauty alone. Cost has gone up to $20 per car.

This place, like all the places, we visited makes one believe that there does exist a Creator. Relaxing and spiritual!
