Each part of the valley has a special enchantment. This is no exception. As grandparents, we needed a place where we would be comfortable and our city grand children would find interesting...this is it. As with many trailheads parking can be tight.

We hiked around Bell Rock and Courthouse in the afternoon. Glad it was February and not midsummer. Ended up being a longer hike than anticipated. We brought water and sunscreen and needed both. Weather was 65, sunny and beautiful. Fairly level route but longer than you may want to tackle if on short time line. The red rock formations are... More

Bell Rock is beautiful, but we prefer it from afar. We hiked on a Tuesday morning and couldn't believe how crowded it was. There were even tour buses there. We also disliked all the highway noise--so much less peaceful than the other hikes we did. It was our least favorite, by far. If we are lucky enough to go back,... More

The trail is short and flat. Once you start climbing, it's easy.....but then you get to the end of the marked trail and it gets progressively harder and less well-marked. We worked our way around the rock in a bit over an hour, stopping a few times to find a safe path, take pictures, and catch our breath.

We climbed Bell Rock on one day, and walked around it the next day in the Courthouse Butte Loop. The climb was fun but strenuous (I am 74 years old). Walking the Loop was wonderful, with one breathtaking sight after another. Loved it!

My husband and I visited this park on our last day in Sedona and left with a sense of peace and acomplishment. What a beautiful hike. We found the young and the not so young on our way up, some of the climb gets too scary for those with no hiking experience like us however we were able to get... More

My fiance and I are from the Midwest and like to hike when we are out west (or anywhere with a change in elevation). This path was very easy. We started on the southern end and looped Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte in about an hour 45 minutes, taking a very lesiurely pace. This was our only hike in Sedona... More

You can't see the sun actually set from here but the way it illuminated the nearby rocks and moved across them was lovely to witness. It had rained a little before our arrival so we didn't climb all the way to the top but even most of the way turned out to be quite enough.

Nice & easy trails towards mountain. Nice to see from different perspectives both at base and on the rock. Half day max.
