We parked at the trail head parking area and walked to the base of Bell Mountain. On the trail, an elderly lady saw us gazing up at the summit of the mountain and said "you know, it is climbable because I've done it!" We looked...More

The trail is flat and easy to follow, the red bell rock is beautiful in every angle. We really enjoyed it.

Bell Rock is a bit outside of Sedona proper, so you may want to stay in the town and drive the few minutes to Bell Rock. There is so much red rock scenery everywhere that you shouldn't limit yourself to a Bell Rock view, I... More

Go quite early in the morning for hiking to avoid the heat and then star gazing is after sundown . . . Say, 10 p.m.
