The drive up Oak Creek Canyon from Sedona to the vista was amazingly beautiful. At the vista you could see for miles. The canyon was gorgeous and at the top of the vista was beautiful Native American jewelry sold by Native American vendors directly.

This was a great spot for picture taking on our 10 day tour with Christian Tours. It was a bright crisp morning. Beautiful scenery. Also, Native American vendors on hand
to sell various hand made items at reasonable prices. Great stop on our way to the Grand Canyon.

The Oak Creek Vista has a beautiful view of Cathedral Rock and if you take the Verde Valley School Rd. out to the parking lot at the end, there is a great hike up to CR that is not very busy. Baldwin Trail runs along the Creek and up to CR. Most folks take the short hike from the first parking lot on the paved road. Take the service/gravel road after the pavement ends to the end. There is a parking lot where the trail starts. There is a fee for parking.

If you’re headed south on 89A to Sedona, I recommend stopping at this overlook. The views are amazing! You can park your car, walk by some Native American vendors selling homemade jewelry and pots (we took one home with us), then see the beautiful views of Oak Creek Canyon. It’s a nice 15-20 min. stop, and I was completely surprised and in awe of the beauty!

This is a must-stop. A lovely drive to/from depending on the direction you're coming from. The scenery is unbelievable. Stop and listen to the wind gently whistling through the pines. Navajo ladies have beautiful quality jewelry and gift items for sale. Cute little visitor's center too. OK could do better with restroom facilities, but it is what it is!

Could be a quick stop on the highway through Oak Creek Canyon, but if there are shoppers in your group that isn't going to happen. There are several Native American craft tables on the way to the overlook. Closes pretty early, though. We missed it our first evening in the area.

An impressive Scenic Loop and stop at the Oak Creek Vista Overlook. The single lane traffic in and out of the steep and curvy roadway makes the trip take 2-3 hours. I would go early to avoid heavier traffic. Well worth the drive for sure.

Fantastic views and interesting conversations with locals selling art, crafts, jewelry. We learned 16 Native American vendors are set up daily and rotate throughout the week to offer very nice selection of items. They maintain the park very well for the visitors use and enjoyment.

I have been to Oak Creek Vista overlook twice now and have enjoyed it immensely each time. The views are absolutely stunning. I also love shopping the Native American crafts and jewelry and have purchased jewelry from the same woman both times I've been there. It's well worth the time to stop here.

We were lucky to have the chance to visit this overlook on the way to Flagstaff driving north from Sedona. As of May 27, 2014 if you want to drive from Sedona to visit this overlook you will have to go around by way of 17N and back south on 89A. This is going to be a 2 month closure.

The overlook has an amazing view of the switchbacks and the valley below. Worth the stop.

The Native American Artist's who sale their crafts were very nice.
