We have so thoroughly enjoyed the views on 89A. We started in Flagstaff, and stopped in Slide Rock SP, then onto Sedona. The scenery is breathtaking. Don't miss this ride!

The Oak Creek Canyon attraction is a drive you will experience on Arizona HWY 89A as you drive between Flagstaff Arizona and Sedona Arizona. Driving either South or North, it is BEAUTIFUL. It is MAGNIFICENT. You will want to allow at least 4 hours to truly enjoy the drive and Sedona. When we made the drive there was considerable construction... More

The entire drive from Phoenix o Sedona is one wonder after another. The canyon area is no exception. Make sure you stop at the OCC Vista.

Beautiful view and lovely stops along the way. Flagstaff in on the other side of canyon. Can be long waits in traffic coming back in early evening and afternoons

Great scenery all the way to Flagstaff. Good contrast to the desert and red rocks of Sedona proper. Nice hike through West Fork trail. Easy trail but you have to ford Oak Creek 13 times. :)

We took the scenic drive from Phoenix to Flagstaff to visit my daughter. While we did run into traffic going through Sedona, we thoroughly enjoyed the drive. We picked up sandwiches and stopped off at Banjo Bill's picnic area, one of many creekside day use areas for a picnic. You must stop and enjoy this unique part of Arizona!

The ride out of Sedona to the north--gives a great sense of the Canyon with the view from below--but when you go up the mountain and get the view from the top its awesome

It's a beautiful place...one of the best. We went hiking every day exploring. A great place to eat in the canyon is the Indian market and store on route #89. Wonderful salads and sandwiches. To drink there are great on tap beers and wine about 3 miles out of Sedona and popular at times. Good breakfast I was told also.

There are two options for the Oak Creek Canyon trails - a shorter, easier walk and a longer more difficult hike. We chose the more challenging path. It started off relatively easy but got harder as we approached the water. We were advised by returning hikers to grab a walking stick, there were plenty along the way. Very pretty and... More

Everyone must drive through Oak Creek Canyon at least once. Check the weather before you leave. Lots of Native American jewelry at the visitors center at the top of the canyon.
