An amazing drive with amazing views. There are places to pull over on the side of the road for pictures or to hike trails. It's a lengthy trip, but it's totally worth the time.

Definitely need to drive through Oak Creek Canyon if you have the time. It is truly one of the most spectacular drives i have ever been on.

We got off the hot highway and drove through Sedona. We dove Oak Creek Canyon to Flagstaff. The temp dropped, lots of shade, beautiful sights, lots of spots to stop for a picnic or a dip. The traffic on a week end was fine headed...More

The waters of Oak Creek are healing. Definitely make sure you take a dip or at least stick your feet in. The energy is also superb.

One of the best hiking trails ever. This trail is mostly shady, and follows the creek. There are several places along the trail where you need to cross the creek on stepping stones. I'd say to just plan to get your feet wet and have...More

Did the drive up Oak Creek Canyon on the way to the South Rim. Amazing views throughout! Be sure and stop at the overlook at the top for fantastic vistas and a Navajo outpost.

Drove up the canyon just to see what was there and very much enjoyed the ride. Beautiful shady areas with red rocky areas. Lots of places for picnics and hikes.

Oak Creek Canyon is incredible, even after states-worth of awesome landscapes! The drive was hampered somewhat by LOTS of construction from 390-397 and is closed at night (for how long I don't know). The road is ROUGH right now, but would still recommend this drive.

The water is spring fed, it is crystal clear and cold! The views are lovely and hiking is a must in this area. Bring water and sunscreen no matter where you go in Sedona!

A great bonus to go this way after enjoying Sedona. Strongly suggest stopping at Indian Market Cafe for lunch or just to relax with a drink in the back yard area.

Planning on visiting Emory Riddle with my daughter in August , want to do a quick visit to Sedona & Flagstaff, with a dog & family of 4. Are their certain trails we can take with our dog in Sedona down to creek area, Would love to swim at slide rock park but read no dogs in creek area. Are their any nearby dog boarding facilities that can be recommended? Any advice would be appreciated,
