This amazing vast space with its wondrous rock formation replicating a natural water slide. You first watch and gaze at the folks who venture into it with a variety of yelps, some real yellers. Then tried it out with a bit of apprehension, what a...More

Just beautiful. Should not be missed if in the area. Great for photography, enjoying the water in summer or just a relaxing hangout.

Easy hike down to slide rock only 10 minutes from parking. Water was very cold in May but tons of people were sliding down the waterway and cliff jumping from the red rocks.

Slide Rock was great. It's an area where you can hike along a creek and hang out in the sun. You can also slide down a portion of the creek on the rocks. It is very slippery so be careful but also fun. We enjoyed...More

This is a great deal for a family as the charge is per car. We visited in late April and there were lots of people enjoying the water. Very clean bathrooms. Interesting to walk around the old buildings.

This is way fun, especially if you have kids and when it's warm out. I highly recommend it. I went with a bunch of adults and we slid down the rock and had a great time!

we are so excited to visit slide rock state park next week but there is an excessive heat warning on the day that we planned to go. I've read about the comments that it will take 10mins walking, would it be safe? because our 4 yo is coming with us.
