An absolute must do if you are in Scottsdale. Great trails for all types of riders from beginners, intermediate to advanced. Endless miles of trails with amazing views, plants and wildlife. Bring lots of water and enjoy!

We rented awesome mountain bikes in cave creek at spur rentals, then headed to the Pima Dynamite trail head. A lovely host suggested the basalt trail : axel to west express to broken spoke to hawknest trail.. a terrific mountain biking adventure. The trails were windy, rolling mini hills, and quite challenging in between the rocks on the way home… challenging .. but still considered moderate. Probably 2 hours +, and fairly level, thou lots of up and down. Great views and fantastic desert fauna! A great outdoor info center with maps at the trail head… lots of routes! Free as well, we would definitely return, probably a highlight of our cave creek visit!

Won’t be returning as they apparently don’t allow ebikes. Not a real smart move considering ebikes are the future and class 1 ebikes must be pedaled to engage. 10 years from now there will be ebikes there - guaranteed.

I loved this trailhead because it has so many options available. From the super-easy 1/2 mile trail to ones that go for miles and miles around the park. I particularly liked climbing Brown Mountain.

Browns Ranch is a great spot to go for a hike or to ride a mountain bike. You have many choices from flat easy hike, to a challenging stride up the dome. Spend 2 hours, or all day. Good facilities as well.

First day on vacation- first Arizona hike! Great one to begin a trip. Some parts very easy with a few difficult areas. Very excited when i made it to the top!

This is THE place to hike, bike, boulder and picnic on the multiple trails. Great easy mountain biking for beginners, hiking is just beautiful, climb the boulders and enjoy a picnic in an incredibly scenic area. See wildlife such as deers, birds, and much more. This spot never gets old. Bathroom facilities with running water (believe me, some places don't have this) are super nice as well. Plenty of parking too. This hiking spot is a must see in the Phoenix area.

Our group of 55yo mountain bikers wanted to ride here but one of our group is a vet with an ebike. No ebikes is ridiculous. We will spend our $2k elsewhere..

Of all of the major trailheads in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve...Brown’s Ranch is my favorite. I think the Jane Rau trail- which is accessible...is a hidden jewel. My favorite trails involve Latigo, Brown’s Mtn and the Amphitheater.

No e bikes! What a joke stupid Scottsdale everything's heading to be like California restricted to the hilt!!!

It's reasonable. The trail is narrow in areas & has been designated as a hiker's trail. I'm sure there are other trails open to bikers.
