This is a nice area filled with retail stores. You can find quality items as well as inexpensive souvenirs.

Our hotel concierge told us that the art galleries opened on Thursday nights for an "Artwalk." We found the town very quiet, and only a few galleries were open. Quite disappointing. Don't really know what the problem is.

We enjoyed walking around Old Scottsdale, and it was definitely worth a few hours to visit. There are tons of art galleries, jewelry stores, and restaurants. I mean tons. The Christmas decorations were beautiful and the "waterfront" area is pretty and unique. Parking is free...More

I spent an afternoon here wandering in and out of gift shops and enjoying an ice cream. While it was nice to get away from the hotel, it wasn't as interesting as I had hoped. Lots and lots of gift shops.

Just a fun place to walk around, eat, drink, shop, and watch people. Some really good restaurants/bars! Reminds me of The Stockyards in Fort Worth which is also a great place to hang out!! If you’re in Phoenix, don’t miss this highlight!

Visited the old town one afternoon during our stay at the Worldmark timeshare in Scottsdale. It was nice to see all the statues and art galleries.

This is fact: many of today’s merchants in Old Town Scottsdale force the specter of greed onto their patrons. Once a respectable shopping area, Old Town is now plastered with chronic discount window signage. And aggressive, pressure selling. Fake pricing and incredible deal/discounts (75%?) ruin...More

Very fun to wander and shop here for this Easterner. You'll find both fun souvenirs and expensive artisan work. All the Christmas lights, music, and decorations were lovely. Beyond Old Town, walk through park to City Hall. Just beautiful!

There is gambling very close at Talking Stick which is on the Salt River Pima Reservation. It's like a few miles from Old Town.
