Unfortunately, your recollections of your hop vary greatly from that of your guides. Yes, it’s true that the stereo system was discovered to be unworking at the moment we started your ride; a true disappointment to all (the cart had just been serviced, and a wire inadvertently disconnected.) It was suggested singing was appropriate, and several gentlemen in your party merrily began to sing. Other than this fact, and the fact that one bar was out of an ingredient to make a festive drink, the rest of your review is disputed.
We always visit three bars; there was no question about this. We always go to three, you did not have to insist. You did ask to be dropped off at a fourth location for dinner, which was unfortunately out of the area golf carts are allowed to drive in. Due to the fact several of your friends had arrived late, and you had dinner reservations, it was suggested an Uber might get you there fastest from your final bar location, and given the fact you all had been drinking, it was also suggested for your safety. You were offered a ride back to your vehicle, which was declined. You also requested to leave locations sooner than we normally would, again thinking of your dinner reservation.
It is customary for us to drop you off at the door of a bar location to go in, order and secure seating while we park the cart (we cannot leave it at the front door.) Your guide was with you the entirety of the tour, as proven by the two dozen photos he took of your group, a half dozen of which you posted on your Instagram with the cheerful description of “Jingle Bar Hopping with some Gangsta Wrappers! Memories were made! ” (with a laughing emoji, drink emoji’s Santa & a tree) Your guide had with him six puzzles, of which your group attempted four. Several commented to your guide about how much fun they were having, which is seen in the photos of your group. Only one festive drink was ordered, and unfortunately the bar in question was out of hot chocolate at the moment-not something we could predict.
We do not offer prepaid drinks as part as our hop, which is clearly stated in our description and on our website, due to our insurance requirements. As to cost, you paid for an experience and guides for 9 people. The going rate in Old Town is $40 per ride per cart; your route would have totaled $240, not $30.
Prior to departure, you had three people cancel. We gave you vouchers for them to use in the future, good towards any ride, when you did not chose a refundable booking. According to our cancellation policy, we were under no obligation to do so. We do this because we want our customers to a) have fun and b) get their money’s worth. Despite knowing we had previously done this, you did NOT contact us directly to let us know you were unhappy with your hop until you sent a copy of this review. We have an excellent track record of doing our best to make things right when there’s a hiccup, but you did not afford us the opportunity to do so. As a new company, we truly appreciate feedback (positive and negative) and would have welcomed the chance to give everyone a positive experience. The fact you are posting negative reviews in multiple spots, instead of coming to us so we could make it right, is very disappointing.
