About
Hi! I'm Brenda - I'm a life long foodie and history buff. Love to share Arizona's FIRST Capital (when it was still a territory!) Prescott's food scene changes constantly and keeps growing and shifting. Some of the BEST places are tucked away UNDER buildings, in back alley's or off the "beaten" trail. Come with me and we'll eat, peek behind the scenes, sample tasty treats, watch local cooks and artisan's in action. I'll point out best "happy hours", historic eateries, and even haunted joints!

Great tour! Good sampling of different eateries. Brenda is knowledgeable about local history. We tried a couple of places I’ve never been and learned some behind the scenes history that is fun to know. Highly recommend this tour. Look forward to taking visitors on future trips.

All of the food was so delicious, from the breakfast pastries to the ice cream at the end and everything in between. I’ve lived in Prescott 3 years and eat out 2-3 times a week. I thought I had tried everything but even I found some new places on this tour. The history was fun and interesting. We loved it!

I really loved this opportunity to try out all kinds of restaurants and shops near the historic Courthouse Square downtown. Prescott has a LOT of history and we learned all kinds of fun and obscure - even food related history! Like where the very first restaurant was located in AZ Territory. We saw pioneer era water sources and learned about AZ oldest saloon on Whiskey Row.

My favorite part was probably ALL the places we ate or tasted food. Not only did we visit several restaurants and had something to try (soup, fire roasted pizza, tacos) but we sampled spices, olive oils, balsamic vinegar at amazing shops (all locally owned). I found a couple of great "tea towels" with hilarious AZ specific sayings that will great gifts.

We DID walk a lot - as they let you know. But we started off with a bottle of AZ "Sedona" water which was very neat. Its from a spring along a creek in Sedona!
An unexpected little gift.

The guide wore a portable speaker - so we could hear her over the street noise. We DID indeed weave in and out of back alleys as well as through buildings - where she pointed out good food to try, or haunted spots (Prescott is OLD) and other historic things of interest.

We finished off with samples of fudge, roasted nuts and all kinds of ice cream. The shop owners were super resourceful, very kind and dressed like old, wild west characters. The final drop off was back on Whiskey Row where we could visit yet one or two more places on our own (history or food or art!) - The guide gave us all a detailed list of restaurants around the "great Prescott area" with tips and tricks on which ones you'll need reservations, where the cheap Mexican food was, where you can find happy hours (even on the weekend), etc. All in all, well worth it!
