Visiting cousins in Phoenix and drove to spend the day in Prescott. Had wonderful lunch at Lone Spur Cafe and spent rest of day browsing the little shops and galleries. Enjoyed the history and the town square. Wonderfully clean and vibrant historic downtown. Would like to come back next year, spend the night and explore for 2 days...there is lots... More

I found some lovely western hats, clothes, tshirts, souvenirs, etc. There is food and coffee GALORE! Some of my favorites eateries were Rosas Pizza, SueAnns Apple Pan and a few blocks down the... Once the capital of Arizona, now a growing "little" town this is where you want to visit if you really want to get the feel of the "Old West". Although they have their place, Pioneer and Rawhide are more for show. Prescott is the real thing. Lots to see if you can make it without all the hoopla and amusements.

There are very nice statues on the grounds. There were musicians playing for our entailment. There is an interesting timeline about the Native tribe. Lots of shops and bars to browse.

Christmas time here is the best because they really light it up, but it's a beautiful spot with good stores, restaurants, and bars.
