My husband is in the US Navy, so we decided to check this place out. We got there at 1pm when it opened and went on a little tour. Takes your through all the major US wars, and some things are pretty specific to the southwest. Open only on weekends from 1-4pm.

They have great displays and tons of weapons from every era. Well done displays. Great to see and AZ has a proud military history.

The Arizona Military Museum was a great way to spend a few hours. The displays are all chronological and cover everything Arizona/military. There is a lot of reading to get the most out of the displays. They are a little short on the subject of women in the military. I was interested to see the section on the Vietnam War,... More

The Arizona Military Museum (AMM) is a unique and entertaining facility dedicated to the research, preservation, dissemination, and display of Arizona's rich territorial and state histories--providing an amalgam of interesting items and narratives, starting with the Spanish Conquistadors and Early Native American tribes to military exploits in The Middle East! Major "war trophies," to include enemy armor and artillery pieces,... More

A little difficult to get to but worth seeing history. Volunteers have done a great job of setting up displays covering all combat eras. Free but donations appreciated.

We found this wonderful little museum on the internet and decided to visit. It's on a base so you have to provide some identification. Small but informative. We enjoyed it. Take your time. It's worth it.

Being in the military I feel like I have a good understanding of our military and the history of different battles. That said the museum taught me a few things and the displays were well put together and informative.

Like many military museums, it isn't a very large museum, but it is interesting. You are allowed to view the exhibits at your own pace, but if you have any questions, there is someone on duty to answer anything you may explained.

This will not disappoint. Good collection from Mexican times to current day. Fascinating display about the German prisoner of war camp that was here and the German "Great Escape". Puts the history of Arizona nicely in context. If you are trying to get in you will see the front of the museum behind barbed wire continue about 1/2 km east... More

Lots of uniforms & arms on display to give the visitor a visual walk through time which depicts the US armed forces roles throughout the world, one decade to another.
