I'm struggling with this review. Positives...Great staff, nice greens, bunkers were good, price was great, tons of potential. Negative...pace of play with no one out pushing foursomes that were two holes behind, no memorable holes as most were pretty bland, clubhouse still not built (running out of a small hut). Arizona State is moving their home course there once the... More

I started trying to play a different course every week so I had to try this course nestled up against the Papago mountains (hills). Had a great time on this course. Took me a while to find the course. Google maps wasn't very helpful. The starter was great. I didn't pull up to the bag drop since it was early... More

Played here with two foursomes on a weekday morning. Course was in great shape...nice green fairways and well manicured putting surfaces. The views were terrific and unexpected on a course in the city. Staff were very friendly and attentive...the marshal even helped us locate a couple of errand shots. Prices were affordable. Overall a very good municipal course.

Nice layout with playable holes. Nice views, set in the Papago Mountains. Pace of play was 4 hrs 15 minutes for our 4some. Greens were good speed. The amenities need to be spruced up (add cart paths and spruce up the areas between greens and tees; pro shop isn't much). Would play again.

While at Baseball Spring Training, I was able to play Papago Golf Course. It is a municipal course and was in great shape. The fairways were in good condition, the greens were perfect and running at about 11.5 according to the greens keeper. I found the staff to be courteous and helpful, particularly the starter and the guys in the... More

This is a desert golf course. There is not a lot of car paths. You ride on the bumpy dirt path. I will have to say everyone that worked there was very friendly. If your ball goes off the fare way it will just be in the dirt and rocks. Easy to retrieve. It is a busy course. Right now... More

Challenging, yet fun. Great shape. Greens were excellent. The fairways were very good. Overall staff was excellent and the price was extremely reasonable. Would play again.

My wife and I played Papago on a Thursday morning. It was fairly busy, but everything was running right on time on the first tee. We hit some range balls before our round. Both of us thought the range was in pretty poor shape. There were flags out on the range, but no distance markers. With mountains in the background... More

Solid, challenging golf course in good shape . It's only going to get better with ASU golf team about to move in. Pace of play excellent at 9:30 when I played.

We visit Phoenix (from Michigan) at least twice a year, and look for courses that are not lined with houses. Papago course has beautiful scenery and was in good condition in April. I appreciated the water / ice machine accessable from several holes, since it was in the 90's when we played. It is a long course, and this was... More
