I was here in March. That is the last month until October that I would recommend hiking here. It us so easy to get overheated on this hike. It looks easy but it is hard when you factor in the heat. Do not take your...More

A great and challenging hike close to old town festivities. There are two sides to the trail, echo and cholla. Make sure you bring lots of water and stay on the trail- many people get rescued from here every year. The top of the mountain...More

It's a CLIMB - come prepared with protein, more water than you think, and snacks for the spectacular view at the top. This will take at least 3 hours but is so rewarding. Start early in the morning and dress in hiking gear :)

This review is for the Echo Canyon trail on Camelback Mountain. The hike to the summit is about 1 & 1/4 miles. First off, to obtain a parking spot, arrive as close to sunrise as you possibly can; for how many climbers there are, there...More

Very hard hike. Only do it if you're in great shape. Just had a helicopter take a hiker off the mountain today. However, the view is lovely if you drive by or from several nice restaurants and hotels

As soon after sunrise as possible. If you're driving and it's a weekend, parking can fill up quickly. And you beat the heat.
