I enjoyed this hike. There are two trailheads. I did the Echo Canyon trailhead. The trail was surprisingly clean for such a popular hike in an urban area. I didn't notice any signs, but I expect dogs are not allowed since I didn't see any, and no signs of their business. I've hiked many places, so this is not on... More

Seeing these places frost hand is not the same as seeing it in books. The colors at sunrise and sunset are unbelievable.

Hiked the mountain with my son as a last minute idea to go on an adventure, and so glad we did! We could have used hiking shoes, but the trek is manageable in comfortable footwear. Bring water, and take an uber to the drop-off and you have the best free adventure in Arizona, and the view from the top is... More

I hike in the Appalachian mountains a lot but this was totally different and more like mountain climbing. Glad I wore hiking shoes since there were multiple places where you really needed them to grip the rocks. Scenery was amazing and it was not what I was expecting but it was a great workout and I'm glad I made it... More

Camelback Mountain hike was a lot of fun. It is important to bring LOTS of water, more than what you drink normally if you are not from Arizona.

Tried climbing it in the middle of the day in July.... Probably not the best idea lol. Made it 3/4 of the way and had to turn around. Even then though, really fun hike with great views.

There are 3 trails that lead up to the top of Camelback. My wife and I hiked up the trail named "Cholla". It's labeled as expert difficulty. This was our first mountain hike, and we're really not in great shape and we were able to complete it in under two hours. I'd say its more of an endurance test than... More

I've been hiking here since i was a small child!! Breathtaking views (sunrise/set is a must see!) a variety of trails, and friendly people. For a small, easy going, dog friendly hike try "hole in the rock" on one side it over looks the phoenix zoo and the other will gice you some nice views of the city :)

This wonderful park includes great hiking trails that take you to the top of this peak. One should be in good health and good physical condition to do these hikes. Reaching the top is a nice accomplishment and the reward is a wide sweeping view of the valley.

This is definitely a strenuous hike. I made it all the way up to the top. There are some parts where you might have to use your hands to climb on through the rocky terrain. They do have railings at two different places to help us out. It felt so good to make it to the top, it did take... More
