Excellent course design, have been playing every year we travel to Phoenix. But played on April 18/17, right after green areation and sanding. Fine sand equalled concrete like greens. Could not get balls to hold on green or judge appropriate putting weight. Ugh, 6 three putts for me an 5 three putts for partner. Hope greens improve shortly! Otherwise every... More

Staying with friends we decided to try this public course because, well, it was cheaper than a lot of courses that are packed with tourists when spring training baseball is in town. My friend had played it before so although it was nearly an hour across town, we went. I am no priss when it comes to golf courses but... More

Excellent golf coures, extremely fast greens, terrific fairways, all and all a very beautiful course. Now the dark side, if in fact the course is allowing five-somes then an ample amount of time should be set between that group and the next. Four groups continuely playing on each hole is a PR nightmare. There is also a problem with the... More

A lovely course to play at a good price during peak season at an unhurried pace. The greens are quick and consistent, the hazards are well placed and the end of the front nine presents a challenge at just the right time. Humble pie with a thrill of accomplishment! Loved the course and had a great time! (Also - nice... More

My friend and I played Aquila golf course. We really enjoyed ourselves. It started in the pro shop where we were given a lot of good information as this was our first time to play there. The driving range and the multiple practice putting greens were all in good shape. The fairways, greens and tee boxes were all in good... More

Booked what we thought was a great deal on GolfNow, only to find out that we booked the par three so be sure to read the fine print when booking on an external site. The staff was very accommodating and gave us a refund and let us play the regular course. Only had to wait about 40 minutes but they... More

Nice municipal Course offering some good challenges with water, sand traps and some narrower fairways. Greens were in good shape and fairly fast with lots of break. Got a very good deal for green teens on TeeOff.com

Continuing my quest to golf all of the Phoenix Metro area golf courses. Aguila was easy to find. There was no bag drop to speak of. Thankfully the parking lot was very close by. After paying up and ... signing for a cart, I was hoping to get a bloody mary, but the person that was supposed to work the... More

A very competive golf course with sufficient length to use most clubs. The desert roughs do not overshadow the fairways and their well groomed fairway dividers insure fast play. The club house staff is professional, but on the day I played the club house set up our two threesomes and led us believe that was final. When we got to... More

Course was in good shape especially considering all the play it gets. Greens really fast. I played with 3 siblings from Canada. Very fun people & had much fun with them. Pace was a little slow, but we finished just before dark. Course is a little hard to get to from Scottsdale, but worth it for the price. Has everything:... More
