We used the all-trails app and had no problem navigating a 4.1 mile loop - there’s a variety of hiking options and lots a wonderful views and natural beauty

This area was amazing! So pretty! The only reason I am not giving it a full 5 stars is because nothing is marked There are many intersecting trails and it would be easy to lose your way.

We used GPS on the AlTrails app and this helped immensely.

I had just run the Mesa Marathon, so I wasn't looking to hike any trails. But we wanted to enjoy the outdoors a bit. There were covered pavilions at the various parking lots, and we spent time at a couple of them. It was really peaceful. No one else was there, since it seems that everyone comes to hike the trails. But those didn't look like easy hikes to me - hot, sunny, vertical, and exposed. But for us sitting in the shade, looking at the desert flora, and watching these little shapes on the trails in the distance, it was pretty nice. It was also fun to watch the chipmunks scamper around. They seemed pretty tame, so I can only suppose that people feed them.

My daughter-in-law chose an "easy" hike in this park and, if it was easy, I'd hate to think of what would be "difficult." If you go, choose carefully! This "easy" hike was not for the faint-hearted as a lot of it was quite rocky and uneven. If my son had not been there to give me a hand on the return trip, I would have had to scoot down on my behind!

Great hikes and lots of them. Summit is hard but worth it. The views are awesome! Freedom trail is also great and some of the more flatter trails like Nature are also beautiful.

The preserve had a good variety of trails. Had some nice views and vegetation. The trails need to be marked better. Great option for more beginning level hikers.

Amazing trails and views right next to downtown Phoenix! They have all levels and they all lead to great spots to see the city.

Our first time here and we wanted an easy alternative to Camelback. This was it. Easy to get to, a little challenging, beautiful scenery and nice facilities. We did about an hour roundtrip and with more water could have gone farther. Enjoy.

Park with easy access off N. 7th st and adequate parking(although I was a walkin). I just walked the 0.8 mile loop that does have excellent views of downtown and mountains. There are nice facilities including several picnic tables, toilets and well marked areas. However, they closed off many areas to visitors.

Recommended.
