This was a very fun zoo to walk around! Plan on being here a minimum of 3-4 hours and longer if you have children! Lots of cool exhibits and things to do! Clean and friendly environment! Only complaint is that there isn't a whole lot of signage coming into the zoo and out of the zoo. We had to pull... More

The whole family loved our Zoo visit! So much to see and do! Loved seeing how much room all the animals had to play and live in. Even with all the people at the zoo in never felt over crowded.

It was a positive experience for my grandkids. Thanks to the splash pool they didn't want to leave and cooled them off. But, for anyone that can't walk well on their own, it would be excruciating, like pregnant women or someone with an injury. There is a lot of ground to cover without much to see in between and the... Have tried this over the years and it keeps getting more expensive. Every time you turn around someone is tapping you for more money. Every time we go there are several exhibits out of commission. Animals don't look in best health. Nothing to brag about and not easy to take in Phoenix heat!

We love the Phoenix Zoo. I'm an AZ native, so I grew up going to this zoo, 46 years to be exact. Now I have two sons, 15 and 8 and three nieces, 10, 8 and 2 that all love going to the zoo too. I love that the workers are all knowledgeable and eager to share info. about the... More

Only an average zoo, maybe geared toward kindergarten or those in strollers. Lots of walking and few animals out when I was there and they were pretty far away. Can't think of any highlights other than it was easy to get to by tram and then the 56 bus. Drops you off right at the entrance.

We enjoyed our day at the Phoenix Zoo. Knowledgeable & friendly staff. Suggest going in the morning before it gets to hot outside. A good variety of animals, unable to see some because they were inside their enclosures. Take your own water or pay $3.50 a bottle. Wear comfortable shoes for walking.
