We spent an hour here today. The welcome is nothing special but after paying 5 tala and walking out for five minutes into the shallow waters we found the drop off and lots of beautiful fish and coral. Right on the edge of town so easy walking distance.

We didn't realise that when it's high tide you have to swim out to the reserve and if the water is rough (as it was when we were there) the owners strongly discourage you from going out....so we didn't. Unfortunately missed out on the snorkelling but still rated this a three as it was a nice place to hang out... More

Hubby and I visited at low tide unfortunately, but it was the only time we were able to get there. Staff were not that helpful - we explained we had our own gear so they took our money, pointed at a stick out in the water and said "that way" and that was it. There is a strong current that... More

Considering it is so close to the town you would not expect it to be there. A great snorkelling spot but be careful as the floor drops away and can catch you unaware. You will see that some of the coral is dying so preservation should be in in the forefront of your mind. A cafe of some kind should... More

We did this reserve as part of a full day tour of Upolu and spent the first few hours here snorkelling. The younger and elderly members of our group enjoyed the surrounding area.

I really enjoyed it. I think it was good because i am a beginner. I only snorkel the shallows though. Nice Coral and heaps of colorful fish.

The ocean floor drops down suddenly so you can't see the bottom. Cool snorkelling, with that added fear factor! We went there twice.

We didn't have high expectations, since we're a bit spoiled with beautiful snorkling and since the reserve is located in town near the harbour. Underneath the surface there was a magic world though! Beautiful corals and fishes and very fun snorkling! We went in low tide and that was good, since our 6 year old son could walk out to... More
