It was interesting to see exotic animals but all the animals looked so sad. I really felt bad for all of them. All the animals needed more space.

My girlfriend and I went to the zoo, after having our expectations on developing-world zoos turned on it's head by the zoo in Cali, Colombia (which was excellent for a developing country standards, and on par with several North American zoos). Unfortunately the zoo in...More

We hired a guide for $5.00 to take us through the zoo. Very limited amount of animals. Should not be on your list, if you are short on time. If you have visited any big zoos in the states, you will be disappointed.

There are many animals that also exist in the wild in Ecuador but are endangered. Educational trip. Zoo needs a little maintenance.

Small zoo good to spend 1 hour with species you don't see in European zoo's. When coming out of the zoo walk a few hunderd meters between the big rocks in front to see people who risk their lives flying/ hanging on a cabble.

We visited the zoo on the right side of the road and the aquarium on the left. I'm not sure why they are the same listing on trip advisor because it's not fair to the zoo. I actually enjoyed this zoo very much. The cages...More
