Our ship, the Ocean Diamond, cruised effortless through the Beagle Canal en route to the Antarctic Peninsular. Great bird life flying around, lovely scenery as we sailed through calm waters.

We went out after a ship tour in Antarctica. It was well worth getting out into the Beagle Channel to see the wildlife there and get out on some of the islands.

Rooms a Beagle channel tour on our first day I town.... pleasant 2.5 hours of channel tour to a former native island w photo stops for cormorant and sea lion islands. Plenty of geographic and historical info. Staff of the Francesca are informative and attentive.

I think it depends on what you want from the experience. Snow, stormy weather? A good sailing experience during their midsummer, November-February.
