We went by boat to see this special Upsala glazier... but the weather did not play its part...it was cloudy and the fog only lifted to give us a glimpse of this

We took a boat trip here - just amazing. Bluest icebergs I've ever seen anywhere. The glacier is stunning. Witnessed some ice chunks splash into the lake - quite dramatic. It's windy, so dress appropriately!

Went there as part of the Rios de Hielo catamaran trip, which stops at various glaciers including this mammoth. It's visible from miles away, and dwarves anything near it. Doesn't look like the Perito Moreno or Spegazzini though, it's more of a giant ice wall...More

The only way to see Upsala is by boat. We took the five-hour catamaran trip, which also stopped at Spegazzini Glacier and found it perfect. Upsala is quite unstable so constantly producing massive icebergs. Their shapes and shades of blue colouring were dazzling.

Booked the Estancia Cristina one day trip which included a boat ride to the glacier, a visit to the Estancia cristina farm, a ride with an all-terrain vehicle and a short walk to a fantastic view of Upsala Glacier and the volcanic activity around it

It is difficult to get really close to the glacier but views are still good. The reason for the access problems are the icebergs, which are amazing in their own right, in terms of size and colour. On the minus side, the commentary in English...More

We had a wonderful day with Eduardo and Martin as our key guides, with Nicole taking photos. The kayaking was fun and we got to witness an amazing ice berg flip VERY (too?) close up...all safe and a great time. The photographer was by no...More

The second largest glacier in Argentina, after Viedama. But because of instability of the ice, boats are kept at quite a distance. See Perito Moreno or Spegazzini glaciers for up close perspective.

We booked our trip with our local Travel Agent here in South Africa and were well looked after. I believe the company was caller Buquebus or something like that - same as report above. They were absolutely great.
