The Glaciarium is rather out-of-town and we spoke with people who didn't visit for this reason. There are two parts to the experience - the museum and the Ice Bar. We only visited the museum, which was a 2-hour experience if you wanted to watch and read all the exhibits. The free shuttle bus to and from the town was... More

This is a good place to learn about ice and glaciers, particularly the Patagonian ice. It's well presented. If you read everything, you can spend a couple of hours. It is expensive though but a good option if you have some time on hand. Some hotels give discount vouchers, so ask at reception, before taking the free bus that takes... More

They really did a good job with this place. Very well made. If you want to know more about ice, head down after the visit of the glacier.

Fantastic creative, innovative and very informative museum about everything you want to learn about glaciers and the surrounding environments. Stunning location of surrounding mountains and lake. Fabulous for children as plenty of interactive games and visuals.

A nIce museum to see especially before going to Perito Moreno, but to me it wasn't worth 300 pesos. Free transport from the tourist office.

This was one of the better museums that nicely complements the Perito Moreno glacier nearby. I also took a long glacier walk tour with "Big Ice" and while the scenery was great, I woudl not have fully understood the processes that create a glacier. The walking tours are focused on getting people onto the glacier and back safely with little... More

This is a very modern museum. It explains how the glaciars are formed, and "working", i.e. why their ice is blue, etc. It also shows the history of the discoveries of the area, with pictures of explorers and exhibiitons. Lots of videos, also in English.

Got the local bus out to this Museum - an easy way without involving a tour. A wonderful history of Glaciers one of the few glacier museums in the world. The architecture of the museum is quite unique and the facade of the building is very interesting. The exhibits include models, dioramas, a 3d documentary and other modern resources
