Be sure to buy the first class ticket on this tour. We upgraded when we got on the boat. I don't think there was much point in going on the boat if you don't sit upstairs (first class), plus you get servings of food and drinks three times on the tour whereas on the lower level you get nothing but a boat ride.

This location is the terminal for all the ferry trips on the lake as well as a location just to visit. There is a pleasant cafe reasonably priced and is a centre of walks, hiking, etc. A lovely centre.

We had 90 mins to wait for our boat, the wonderful 100-year-old Modesta Victoria, so we ate at the port - nice snacks and good wine - and then went for a walk around a circular trail around the rock formation at the back of the port buildings/restaurant. Great photo opportunity (check attached images). The port is a peaceful place to hang out, and there are some nice walks nearby. Worth getting to the port early just to enjoy this location and take some snaps.

This place is the departure for several excursion, and I must say that it is well organized and pretty pleasnt for such a port.
What makes it very special by the way is the surroudings, the lake, the hotel Llao Llao and the forest, it is just incredibly beautiful !

This is not really an attraction in itself, but the new terminal building is pleasant and airy, and would be a good place to shelter if it were raining. Many boat trips on Lago Nahuel Haupi start and/or end here. Round the back of the building, past the old passenger lounge, is a circular path where you get great views of the lake while awaiting your departure time.

Puerto Panuelo is beautiful and offers lovely hiking opportunities (all easy ones).

The lakes and mountain views are breathtaking.

The main building offers food, information, tickets for the boat rides, and very clean toilets!

Puerto Panuelo is not a destination in and of itself, but it is a nice place to hang out while you wait for a boat excursion to depart. We were about 90 minutes early for our departure, so we spent some time walking around the nearby area, which has some great views. The facilities inside of Puerto Panuelo are new and clean, and the staff was helpful.

We went to a trip to Victoria’s Island and it was full. We needed to park very far away from the port.

This is where you catch the boats to Isla Victoria to see the red barked trees and the arboretum, as well as hiking with a naturalist.
