Located a short distance out of town, Cerro Campanario is one of the best places that I have been to gain a panoramic view of the natural beauty any where in the world. To gain the heights you take a ski lift up the mountain....More

Yeah, I had heard a little about this place, but I wasn't expecting much. Okay, a ski lift takes you to the top of a mountain for a great view...who hasn't done that a few times in their life, right? Started to get a little...More

You take a ski lift up to the top, there is small coffee shop where you can see the panoramic view of Bariloche, which is touted as top 10 best panoramic views in the world. It's indeed breath-taking. Wonderful! When you are in Bariloche, definitely...More

We took a 15 minute cab ride from our hotel and on arrival at the foot of the mountain you're greeted with the choice of a 40 minute hike or 8 minute cable car journey. Despite seeing plenty of pictures before we went, I still...More

If visiting Bariloche do not miss the short excursion to the Campanario hill top. You have a short good drive to the base, and from there you take an eight minutes chair lift. Bring a sweater and a cap as strong cold wind could be...More

Fortunately, the rain held off, but it was bitterly cold at the top, with a wind "like a whetted knife". The ride up in the chairlift was sheltered from the wind, otherwise it would have been very unpleasant. The chairlift itself (2 person chairs) is...More

Getting the sube (bus pass) for local buses in Bariloche was an ordeal of visiting at least eight sites that supposedly sold it but didn’t until we found one that did. My companion spoke Spanish and had she not we would’ve had a hard time...More

The view is spectacular up there. You can walk up or take the cable car which was $200 each so not overly cheap but its fine given the scenery. The restaurant at the top is really reasonably priced given its location. We had a cup...More

One of the top ten views in the world. Go early in the morning for a perfect sun to highlight photos. Panoramic view is the best. Not to be missed. Try the coco with cognac on top.

Is it necessary to book the chairlift in advance and if yes, where is the official site? We'll be in Bariloche 16-18th March and would like to avoid queueing, if at all possible. Thank you.
