A quaint way to end a day on the circuito. A welcoming ambiance. Almost like visiting a friends home. We had some great tapas that we shared as a group and several pitchers of their brew. Even for those who don’t enjoy beer will find a beer to enjoy.

Have fun finding this family owned place nestled in the National Park alpine area. Reward yourself when you do. The beer is very good...light beer not so much though. Food is very good and the ambiance is rustic as it is a converted barn. Watch your head if you are tall! Take a tour of the small backroom brewery and listen to the brewer's talk in his quite interesting english. This is a good visit after hiking miles of trails through the park. We loved it and you will too. You can see the brewery in the Netflix "Andes" Part 1.

Enjoyed an afternoon beer tasting at Gilbert's. Sampled an IPA, a pale ale, and a dark beer. The IPA was most to my taste.

Had an assortment of appetizer foods that were interesting and delicious.

The decor of the place is rustic with tons of old beer bottles and stickers.

It was a fun afternoon diversion!

Apparently the Gilbert family was given land in the 1800s and they have occupied it since. Tom has become the master brewer and they have developed a neat tasting and munchies establishment.

Our group had a wonderful beer tasting and lunch at this picturesque artesanal beer brewery. The various beers were delicious as was the lunch. The owner/manager gave a presentation on a history of the company and the way the beers were created. In all, it was a very enjoyable event.

Had a beer tasting with a charcuterie, or antipasto, platter that was most enjoyable. We each then picked the beer we licked most, and had a glass. The brewers gave us a lesson in production of the different types of beer that they make, and the types of grains used in each.

Small restaurant and micro brewery on the circuito Chico route.
The owner’s son gave us a short talk on the brewery and how they brew their three types of beer , then we had a sample of their stout( a bit too sweet), pale ale and IPA.
The lunch was very good. Specials that day was pork and vegetables and the pork was humongous. Must have been over 500g and could be easily shared by two people. It was so well cooked and tender. Prices are very reasonable. They also accept USD if you don’t have any pesos.
Or you could just have a coffee

These guys do everything they can to not be noticed, because if they were noticed, they'd sell out of beer in seconds, which is testament to their wondrously amazing beer.

Situated down an unpaved road, this small brew pub lies hidden amongst the trees. They only have 3 beers available, a blonde, an IPA and a stout. I've always preferred this quality over quantity mentality and I wasn't disappointed.

Their IPA wasn't too hop forward but you wouldn't be mistaken into thinking it was just another pale ale either. There was a lovely hoppy after taste that lingered but not too much. They've certainly got their bittering right with this IPA.

Their menu is also short and sweet, which includes three trout options. I had the trout with mushroom sauce and is was fantastic. Accompanied with potatoes, the combination of trout, mushrooms, potatoes and three IPA's was sublime and a perfect recipe for an afternoon nap!

We enjoyed this place so much that we actually returned for lunch prior to flying home a couple of hours later. Also try the picada, it's a little more expensive, but worth every peso!!!

We found the cerveceria on our way around Lago Moreno and decided to lunch here. The picada was excellent, wok cooked vegetables as well. The beer from the brewery and the service also very pleasing. We were very pleasantly surprised and would recommend the place.
