For us, this was quite a strenuous day's walk (we are both 60 and fairly fit) but well worth it for the views all the way up, as well as the stunning panorama at the summit, including Cerro Tronador. We stopped for two short breaks...More

Well-marked hiking trail with breathtaking views. Various distances available, right up to the refuge where one can sleep overnight, or not. There is also the option of descent down the other side. Rock climbing opportunities at the falls.
