This is the easiest animal reserve to arrive by bike, just take it easy and find good light bike to enjoy the ride, is only 50' and if you do it in an hour and half you can stop in several places before, also after you can do Play Pozo, and even climb the 150Mts of Cerro Avanzado for the views of the gulf.
Do not miss the baliza Acantilado before arriving.
Suggest to find the trials inside the farms to enjoy the most out of your day without traffic

Look down from the clifftop to a colony of sea lions in the natural reserve of Punta Loma. Binoculars are needed for a decent view of the wildlife. Many sea birds can be seen too. There is no access to the beach for a close up view. A path of about 500 metres leads to a second view point of the same beach, but is closer to sea lions swimming in the breakers.
Trips from Puerto Madryn are readily available but it is only a 20 to 30 minute taxi ride.

The view of the sea lions is from a good distance. It’s high up enough to offer great views of the beach, ocean and cliffs. Sea lions are plentiful and easily seen. To get a good look at all their antics bring binoculars

A distance from the port; visited in route to the Paleontology Museum. An OK stop to see the sea lions. (if you've seen colonies of sea lions before, this is the same sight).
Not a destination to send the day!

It is about a half hour from the ship. Great place to view seal lions in the wild. Very steep cliffs where you can view them below.
Peninsula Valdes has been listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Best to see this by boat. The local agents charge a lot to take you to the cliff viewing point and it’s nicer to take a boat trip which includes dolphins.

It takes about 30 minutes to get here from the Puerto Madryn pier by tour bus/car. Once there there are two trails. The closer one allows you to look down the cliff about 200 feet into a sheltered cove to see tons of sea lions sunning themselves and relaxing. A walk of about 1000 feet down the other trail takes you to a different point on the cliff where you can see the previous cove and also see sea lions swimming!

We were there at 8:30, after opening. The place was all for us and the sea lions. You can observe them from above and enjoy the show. You can also observe the rock shags and rabbits. Totally worth it (30 min car ride from Puerto Madrin)

It takes a long ride to get there, but it was great. Lots of sea lions in a small cove. You are far away in a viewing area, but still good.

about 40 minutes away by car from the center of Puerto Madryn. 40 minutes or soon a gravel road. You come across this oasis of wildlife.
There are toilets at the site, and while there is no entrance fee you can leave a donation.
You start of by lokking at a look out point where you see the sea lions below on a beach and then you can take a walk for about 5 minutes to see a more panoramic view of the sea lions.
You can spend up to a hour here to enjoy these sea lions.
