Beautiful place..the caves are film. The views are spectacular. We arrived on foot from the center of Madryn it was a very entertaining walk of about an hour along the Costanera. There are some very economical and rich eating carts. What disappointed me was the ecocenter although the viewpoint is beautiful. This museum is a place where you have to go at least once.

Unfortunately, I went near high tide and could barely see the natural caves. However, I was able to appreciate the caves made by the Welsh to settle in the place. Like to spend a little time and learn, although I don't consider it something unmissable.

Its a great target to walk to and there are some good views when you do get there. In addition there is information about the Welsh that landed and lived in the caves some years ago

It's not a well known fact that a group of Welsh landed there in 19th century. They cooperated with local people so you can see a Welsh flag and a monument to commemorate it as well as caves they used to live in.

We were on a cruise and had the advantage of seeing so mush of the Chilean coast and all of it was spectacular. Puerto Madryn and a more modern city and you can take side tours from there. There is also opportunity to see penguins.

While this is the spot where the original Welsh settlers stayed in oceanside caves until they could find suitable shelter (two months hence), little has been done to preserve the location. There is apparently a museum but I didn't see much other than a rustic A-frame structure that looked more like a shrine. I also walked down to the waterline to see the caves but only found some young people making out. I later saw the caves from the ship as we left the pier. But, I wouldn't say that this location was very well done.
