This is a minor basilica, is very well kept and a beautiful church. If you are catholic, the blessed sacrament is exposed on the left door from the entrance. The place is good for prayer and meditation, there were Gregorian chants playing inside.

This church is as stunning inside as it is out, we would have liked to have stayed longer but the church was closing not long after we arrived. We still however managed to appreciate the superb architecture and exceptional interior.

Actually difficult to miss. A major church but remarkable for its coloured exterior and an interior to match.

Beautiful facade. You can visit the monastery courtyard but it was closed when we visited. Interior is opulent, amazing ceilings with carved cornices. Free entry.

The facade of the church is beautiful at all hours of the day but it is spectacular at night. The wooden crucifix inside is also quite handsome.

I found this church to be much more beautiful than the cathedral and also a lot less busy. Painted terracotta and yellow on the outside the church has the highest bell tower in the country and each tier is of a different type of Greek...More
