Shame it was raining!

This is a worthwhile trip whilst staying in Salta. Good views of Salta shame we got caught in the rain on the way down but worth the visit

Very good view of the whole city of Salta, gives an excellent panorama but the cost is high. It is the typical tourist cable car (teleferico), which is a good option if you do not have your own car to get to the top of Mount San Bernardo. In any case I recommend to do it in the morning, to... More

It's a relatively expensive (75 p/p one way trip) for a short distance. The views are ok, the nicest thing for me to see were valley and the surrounding mountains as Salta doesn't have a lot of (large) recognizable landmarks. I would recommend a walk uphill which is relaxed and not so difficult to do. (Around 45 minutes). Then take... More

The trip with the cable car takes less than 10 minutes and cost 75 Argentinian pesos (aprox. 10USD) for a oneway and 150 for a return ticket. There is no discount for kids. It is possible to take the stairs to the top. We counted it to be 1033 steps, but it is not regular steps, so the walk is... More

Nice journey with good view, if you go on a clear day. Kids liked it too. Not too much to see and do at the top but a nice view of the city. Worth doing even though it's a little overpriced. Probably best to take cable car up and walk down, save a bit of money and have a nice... More

Took the cable car up on Christmas Eve out of a very busy hot city to the calm of the hilltop. Lovely tranquil area of garden and water features at the top with views over the city and beyond. Walked back down via the steps which meander down through woodland bursting with bird life which made the 30 minute hike... More

If possible go in the morning as the light is better. You can buy a one-way ticket and walk down the aprox. 1000 steps through the shade of the vegetation. Good view, gives you an idea of the size of Salta.

The attraction is too expensive for what it is! I paid €6 a couple of months ago in Madrid for a much longer journey. This was 150 ARS (about €8.50) and it only lasted less than 10 minutes.

Little expensive, but a good way to kill a couple of hours with a good view. Plenty of things up there. Play ground, fitness centre, tourist shops and food.

Cable cars are a fun enough thing to do when having a look at Salta. They allow you and your party exclusively to go on the car as it only takes about 6 people. They come every 5mins or so and the line goes quite quick. The view of Salta was fine and pretty much just a view of a... More
