We took our 18 month old nephew for an afternoon on a hot summer day. What a fun time for the little guy. There was plenty to keep in engaged in the activities. One of the things we noticed was no one was crying. How unusual in a place full of toddlers! They were in their "happy place".

Fun place for children to learn! My grandchildren (currently 26 and 23) loved it and still have wonderful memories of our visits. Things to see and things to do. It was great fun to sit on the floor and be creative...very special time for all of us.

This was a place that I didn't know existed when I moved here in 2005. In fact, I didn't know about it until I got a job here after teaching for 20 years! This is a place that has been rebranded from the Arizona Museum for Youth (AMY) to i.d.e.a. Museum (Imagination.Design.Experience.Art) They have revolving installments, about 4 per year... More

Along my journey exploring Mesa I found this family gem with younger children. The Idea Museum is the perfect activity for small children offering a creative outlet. Who doesn’t want to color, create and be inspired by science.

I took my two year old grandsons here to keep them happy and out of the heat. They loved everything. It was easy to keep track of them. The area is gated. Everything is hands on and easy to play with, from giant blocks, hand puppets, train, kitchen and lots of play items. I think adults should have half price. I... More

This place is great. My grandson who has Autism loved this place, so much to do. A lot of activities for him that really kept him busy.

Visited with my two girls, ages 3 &6, and they had a good time. Some of the exhibits are lame i.e. paper and crayons to draw. The building block areas were fun for the girls. They skipped most of the educational reading. Overall not bad for an afternoon with small children. Perhaps management should allow parents in free since we... More

This museum is top of the charts for children. They have the freedom for interaction and creativity while at the museum. A great place to take children for an afternoon with family and friends.

We were visiting my parents in Arizona for Christmas and wanted to do something fun for our toddler. We all packed up and went to this museum. The toddler had a blast and all the adults had fun watching him. My only complaint is that we had to pay full price for all 4 adults. Basically, we were paying to... More

We were so impressed by this place! I wish they were closer to us but we'll make the trip again! My kids had a blast here for 4 hours. There were a ton of areas to make crafts that kids could take home, an educational exhibit about bugs, a glow in the dark room, and an imaginative play area complete... More
